The Pregnant Man

In case any has missed it in the news or on Oprah, there is a pregnant man in our midst. This man's name is Thomas Beatie. If you have been watching Oprah, or reading the news, you would know this man is a transgender pregnant man, and therefore was once a woman.

Thomas Beatie was born a girl named Tracy Lagondino, and lived as a girl for nearly 24 years. Tracy was even a beauty queen, she was a Miss Hawaii Teen USA finalist. Tracy even had a normal relationship with a man for three and a half years. However, once she reached her twenties she knew she wanted to be a man. Thomas (Tracy), then got HIS first girlfriend, and decided to have gender reconstruction surgery.

Thomas Beatie is a 34 year old transgender man from the Pacific Northwest. As he was born a girl, Thomas, after the surgery, is still biologically able to bear a child.

Thomas and his wife, Nancy, decided that Thomas should try for a baby because Nancy is unable to bear a child and Thomas, biologically can. The results have a been a resounding success. Thomas is now a legal fully pregnant man, with a healthy fetus.

Thomas' wild journey of being a pregnant man was recently chronicled on Oprah and has been getting massive public attention. Thomas Beatie will choose to have the baby girl via natural vaginal birth. His due date is July 3rd, 2008..
